i84 AL metal case is specially designed for mini84pro and new i84, providing two options: separate aluminum case and complete keyboard. Made of high-quality aluminum, exquisite craftsmanship ensures durability and texture. Its excellent feel enhances the typing experience and meets the dual needs of professional users for keyboard performance and appearance.

Optimized Key Layouts: We have identified three layouts particularly suitable for gaming: 60% (61/62 keys), 80% (84/85 keys), and 100% (104/105 keys). Other layouts can lead to unexpected behavior due to missing or excess keys — for example, sliding during counter-strafing, shot registration failure when counter-strafing with sniper rifles, or abnormal bullet spray patterns during recoil control (in games like Counter-Strike and Valorant).

Optimized Key Release Debounce Algorithm: The goal was to achieve a more precise key release detection. Our testing revealed that Wooting 60HE+'s 0.2mm Rapid Trigger (RT) function (actual 0.3~0.4mm) enables faster counter-strafing than many keyboards with 0.01mm actuation. We have refined our key debounce algorithm accordingly.

Optimized Actuation Distance: Achieved a faster actuation (1.4mm actuation distance) without introducing self-interference (ghosting). Observing professional players using ROG keyboards, we noted many utilize a 1.2mm actuation distance + 0.2mm RT (effectively 1.4mm travel). Our tests confirmed this travel distance exhibits lower crosstalk, resulting in more stable keystroke registration. While we tested other distances (1.12mm, 1.68mm, 1.8mm), 1.4mm proved most stable.

Optimized Scan Count & Cycle: Increased scan count (3 → 10) and scan cycle time (0.196ms → 0.28ms) to enhance keyboard stability. Based on SteelSeries' published keyboard expertise, we found these presets improve stability. Testing in CS2 (5E Platform, S rank) and VALORANT (HK Server, Mythic rank) showed that this algorithm significantly improves a player’s ability to escape after being hit by enemy fire. Lower latency settings often caused characters to stick in place or move sluggishly after being hit.

Optimized Scan Algorithm: Switched from a filtered scanning algorithm (similar to Logitech’s) to a filterless scanning algorithm (similar to Wooting’s). Following the release of Windows 11 22H2, games increasingly support filterless input scanning (APEX Legends being the exception), prompting the change.

Optimized Anti-Ghosting Algorithm: Switched from automatic switching between 6-key rollover (6KRO) and full N-key rollover (NKRO) to manual switching, enhancing stability. This algorithm is now compatible with all titles except CrossFire.

Added Automatic Capacitance Calibration on Startup: Prevents issues caused by abnormal capacitance values.

Added Keystroke Protection Time: Prevents accidental key signal interference caused by nearby key vibrations. Our tests in CS2 (5E Platform, S rank) and VALORANT (HK Server, Mythic rank) revealed that excessively low keyboard latency can cause desynchronization between local and server-side character position cleanup after being hit. We mitigated this by adding a specialized algorithm that doesn't impact counter-strafing. This also improves keyboard stability during rapid keystrokes.

Added Delayed Power-On Function: Prevents electrostatic crosstalk during the boot process, which can cause inconsistent keyboard feel after startup.

Optimized USB Polling Rate Protocol: Switched from High-Speed (HS) protocol to Full-Speed (FS) protocol to improve motherboard compatibility (some motherboards with GL850 chipsets exhibit compatibility bugs with HS protocol).
